It has been so much fun being home. I love having a break from school, social life, and work. Here are a few things I have done thus far.
Clint and I got all concert-ed out when we came home the first week after school. We first went to the Kurt Bestor Concert to support mom, walked around temple square to admire the lights, and then off to the Conference Center to support Audrey in the Mo Tab Christmas Concert with one of my favorite performers as guest artist, Brian Stokes Mitchell.
Again I was the "Guest of Audrey Collier" at the Mo Tab/OTS dinner with the prophet. It is such a fun thing to go to every year with Audrey, Mom and Dad. At this rate I hope Audrey never gets married so I can always go. ;)
Bethlehem dinner has now been moved to the third sunday of December seeing as it is already designated as "Family Sunday." We had a very untraditional Bethlehem dinner, but it was good to be with family. Because of the weather conditions Clint was able to stay for a few days after his little Career camp in New Orleans. We were all happy to have him there.
He even joined in the festivities. It was almost easier to get him to dress up then it was to convince Michael to be the Angel. I am sure he thinks our family is officially crazy after all the laughter and very "reverent" way we depicted the nativity.
I was hoping to cut out this picture and place her in the presence of ten black ninjas... She would kick trash and make a great Ninja Baby!
We worked on the Christmas Giving Spirit this year by "giving up" our Christmas to a family more in need. Audrey, Clint and I got to box up and wrap all the presents.
Here is a picture of the family with us on the Tuesday before Christmas. It was a really cool experience. To get a little more detail look at Mom's blog. She explained all about the family and the experience.
Seeing as Audrey and I weren't on the Christmas card this year because of all the new grand-babies we decided to make a card of our own. I love how pretty Dad can make us look at 9:30 at night last minute.
Christmas morning was a little different this year. We even slept in... until 8:30. Audrey and I woke up and ran down stairs impersonating Mr. Bean (our Christmas role model) to find our stockings and Mom's idea of a college survival kit. Please excuse the tired, PJ look. It was Christmas morning for heaven's sake.
I had one present to open. It was from Clint and a great gift. All I really needed this year was a coat, and now I have the most "trendy" and warm coat in all of Rexburg! Woot!
